Our Mission
Here at Chandler Friends Church, our Children’s Ministry strives to be a light to each child that walks through our doors. We want every kid to know that God created them, loves them, and is involved in their life. And we promise to do our best to follow Jesus ourselves, modeling a life of faithfulness to Jesus and his way!
SUNDAY
MORNINGS
SUNDAY SCHOOL
SUNDAYS | 9:45am – 10:45am | MEETS UPSTAIRS
We offer two Sunday School classes for kids, based on age: Lower Elementary (Pre-K – 2nd Grade) and Upper Elementary (3rd – 4th Grade). Both groups meet upstairs. Sunday School lessons cover the same Bible stories as the sermon in the 11:00am service. This way, parents and students can engage with the same biblical stories and themes. “Take home” sheets are available to help parents keep the conversation going throughout the week.
NURSERY
SUNDAYS | 11:00am – 12:00pm | NURSERY ROOM
From 11:00am to 12:00pm, during our Sunday morning worship service, nursery care is provided for infants up to age two. Contact the church office if you’d like more details.
WEE WORSHIP
SUNDAYS | 11:00am – 12:00pm | TODDLER ROOM
Children two to four years old are dismissed during the 11:00am service to go to “Wee Worship.” During Wee Worship, kids will play together and learn at level suitable to their age. Parents can pick up their kids from the Toddler Room after the service.
CHILDREN’S CHURCH
SUNDAYS | 11:00am – 12:00pm | LOWER ELEMENTARY ROOM
Children ages Pre-K to 2nd grade are dismissed during the 11:00am service to attend “Children’s Church.” Children’s Church engages the stories of the Bible at a level suitable for their age. Parents can pick up their kids from the Lower Elementary Room (upstairs) after the service.
WORSHIP BAGS
SUNDAYS | 11:00am – 12:00pm | SANCTUARY
“Worship Bags” are available for kids who stay in the 11:00am service. They have activities that can help kids learn at an age-appropriate level. Pick them up by the doors to the sanctuary.
WEDNESDAY
NIGHTS
MEALS ON THE RUN
WEDNESDAYS | 6:00 – 6:30pm | FELLOWSHIP HALL
Each night starts with a family meal at 6:00 in the Fellowship Hall. Parents are invited to come in and eat dinner with kids before the head off to JAM!
JAM KIDS
WEDNESDAYS | 6:30 – 8:00pm | SANCTUARY
JAM stands for “Jesus And Me!” We want to introduce children to Jesus and help them learn what it means to follow Him. JAM starts with music at 6:30pm in the sanctuary for everyone, then classes will dismiss to their rooms for games, crafts, snacks and a lesson! JAM ends at 8:00pm. Classes are: Toddlers (Ages 2-4); Lower Elementary (PreK- 2nd Grade); Upper Elementary (3rd- 6th Grade).
